The Committee on Alcohol and Drug Abuse of the Louisiana State Bar Association is composed of lawyers and judges from across the state providing confidential peer intervention, counseling, and support to other members of the legal profession having difficulties with alcohol and drug abuse. 

All communication with a member of the Committee on Alcohol and Drug Abuse is confidential and privileged.  Civil immunity is afforded to anyone who is engaged in efforts to assist a judge, lawyer, law student, or other member of the legal profession with a drug or alcohol problem through the Committee on Alcohol and Drug Abuse.  (La.
